Rolling Surf "Rolling Surf" is an acrylic on 11"x9" sheet canvas which can be framed like a photograph, matted or matted and framed.

My inspiration for painting "Rolling Surf" came from a photograph I took while at Smithaven Park Long Island NY. I was taken by the gentle rolling in of the small waves and the way they broke onto the beach. It symbolizes, to me, that tranquity can come out of moving power, which at first seems like an oxymoron. Tranquility does not always come from silence and no-thingness.
