Fireworks "Fireworks" an acrylic on sheet canvas measuring 5 in. x 6 in. It can be framed just like a photograph it is about the same thickness as photo stock paper. "Fireworks" is the way I wish fireworks looked like in person. I always feel somewhat disappointed in the reak thing they seem so washed out. So, I decided to paint my own fireworks to look like I really want them to look.

Rolling Surf
Rolling Surf "Rolling Surf" is an acrylic on 11"x9" sheet canvas which can be framed like a photograph, matted or matted and framed. My inspiration for painting "Rolling Surf" came from a photograph I took while at Smithaven Park Long Island NY. I was taken by the gentle rolling in of the small waves and the way they broke onto the beach. It symbolizes, to me, that tranquity can come out of moving power, which at first seems like an oxymoron. Tranquility does not always come from silence and no-thingness.

Beach Shadows Beach Shadows is an acrylic on 11in.x9in. sheet canvas which can be framed as you would a photograph or it can be matted or matted & framed. "Beach Shadows" shows Papa, Grandma and Grandson getting caught by the sun taking a picture of the beach. The shadows in our life are just like this picture, always in front of us yet they always seem to sneak up on us and catch us unaware because we simply ignore their existance most of the time.

God's Fire
God's Fire "God's Fire" is an oil on stretched canvas 16 in. x 20 in. and is side stapled. The painting of "God's Fire" was a journey of discovery for me, asking the question, "What is God's essence? The rose came to me as I painted and I understood that it was a good symbol of God since it is beautiful, fragrant yet it has thorns. But there had to be more, this was not enough and then the colors flowed dipicting an image of God's essence as God's Fire emminating from the rose, kind of like molten lava being held inside a volcano, awesome beauty and awesome power.
