I went through a significant family trauma six years ago, and immediately began obsessively doing this bizarre artwork. I didn't know what it was until one day I found a book at Borders called Raw Vision, about Outsider Art. I was diagnosed with complex PTSD, Bipolar, and BPD. I have been hospitalized 3 times for suicide attempts, but a great husband, a few friends, lots of meds, and artwork and poetry keep me going. When an image of a piece of art comes to my head, I go crazy until I can start it, and once I start I work straight through until I am finished. Everything on every piece of art means something. If you don't know what it means, just ask. I'll be totally open with you.
